Styled Inspiration Shoot: Belle Époque for a Twenties Themed Wedding. While selecting the theme for this inspiration shoot, we started from the beautiful venue where we wanted to do the session, the elegant Relais Villa Clodia near Lake Bracciano (Rome). We were looking for a unique theme that could blend well with an historical Italian villa, with rich décor, tapestry, and old furniture. We therefore chose the Belle Epoque, with the eccentric romanticism of the so called “roaring twenties”, the golden days of “The Great Gatsby”. Emanuela of Victoria Queen Wedding declined the theme throughout decors and details: all the stationary, from the wedding invitations, to the table menus and the tableau de marriage, was created using art deco graphics and fonts; the wedding color palette, from bright green, to dark purple, was inspired by the explosion of vivid colors of a peacock tail, and so was the shape of the flower center piece; the flowers used had to be elegant, rare and eccentric, so we went for a mix of black dahlias and white dahlias, purple callas, miscellanous red sinesis, sierg overig, and finally roses, of course.
For the bride, a twenties style Pro Novias tight satin dress (Saint Patrick collection) with lace details along the décolleté, the hips and the tail. Long pearls and authentic vintage pendant earrings and rings to touch up the look. The bride’s hair and accessories where provided by Chiara Corsaletti, who created two different twenties themed bridal styles, a softer “day” look with wide waves and a headband, and a sexier evening look, with dark eyes, strong lipstick, tight curls, and the iconic feather brooch.Location – Villa Clodia
